Duncairn Community Partnership

"Events for All" is a group of volunteers from Duncairn Community Partnership and a number of other community groups in the Duncairn area. Its role is to liaise with community groups and statutory agencies to organise and deliver a range of seasonal cross community events aimed at promoting reconciliation and building positive relationships between residents of interface communities. This is an essential core element of our work which compliments and promotes the various cross community projects in the Duncairn area. 

Events for All has been operating over the last seven years and as such has played a key role promoting residents engagement. This has helped to reduce tensions/problems in and around our interfaces.Cross community support for these events can best be measured by the attendance of local residents at our events. Last Christmas for example, Events for All were successful in attracting over 1400 adults and children to a cross community Christmas event held in McCrory Church Hall shared space facility on Duncairn Gardens. A remarkable attendance involving families and residents of both communities, therefore endorsing local resident engagement like this to continue.
